Supportive Roommate (Live-In) – Calgary, Alberta

Loramar Services is seeking a qualified and dedicated Supportive Roommate to provide live-in support for two adult females individuals residing in Calgary, Alberta. This role is best suited for an experienced disability-sector professional who is committed to promoting independence, safety, and a healthy lifestyle within a shared home environment.
Position Overview
The Supportive Roommate will reside in the home and provide ongoing support in daily living, community participation, and health-related routines. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with existing respite providers and adhere to all Loramar Services policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day support to two adults with varying needs
· Attend and support individuals during medical, therapeutic, and professional appointments
· Develop and prepare healthy, individualized meal plans
· Coordinate and schedule transportation, community activities, and appointments
· Encourage and model healthy lifestyle choices and positive routines
· Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and person-centered home environment
· Collaborate with respite providers; two weekends per month of respite
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following:
· Disability Support Worker diploma or certification
· 2+ years of experience working in the Disability Sector

· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
· Experience with meal planning, household routines, and community engagement
· Commitment to following Loramar Services guidelines as a subcontractor
· Willingness to complete mandatory training as scheduled
Compensation & Additional Information
Compensation and room/board details can be discussed during the interview process. This is a live-in subcontractor role with scheduled respite support already in place.
